I am delighted to inaugurate our monthly “breaking news” for the Professional Speakers Association of Spain, where we aim to promote a vibrant community dedicated to empowering professionals to excel in the art of public speaking at the professional level. Our association stands as a beacon for individuals who recognise the pivotal role of effective communication in their personal and professional endeavours.

Our Vision:

At the heart of our association lies a profound belief: “Not everybody wants to be a professional speaker, but everybody needs to speak professionally.” This vision underscores our commitment to cultivating a culture where the mastery of professional speaking skills is recognised as essential, irrespective of one’s career path.

Our Mission:

Our mission is ambitious yet deeply resonant. We aspire to establish ourselves as the preeminent reference point in the Spanish market for professionals seeking to harness the power of effective communication across diverse platforms. Central to this mission is our consistent dedication to providing unparalleled support to our members on their journey towards speaking excellence.

Supportive Platforms:

To realise our mission, we offer a robust framework of support. Our calendar features three monthly meetings designed to cater to the diverse needs of our members:

1. Expert Talks (2nd Tuesday of the Month, virtually) led by Josie Pont- Female ChangeMakers:

Each month, we invite distinguished experts to deliver insightful talks on topics crucial for developing a successful speaking business. These sessions serve as invaluable learning opportunities, equipping our members with the knowledge and skills necessary for their professional growth.

2. Peer-to-Peer Accountability (4th Tuesday of the Month, virtually) led by Ian Gibbs:

In this forum, members come together in a spirit of camaraderie and mutual support. Through collaborative brainstorming and accountability exercises, participants chart a course towards their speaking goals, bolstered by the collective wisdom of their peers.

3. Let’s have a chat, in person led by myself, Tulia Lopes:

Once a month, we take a break from our online efforts to meet face-to-face, creating lively spaces where we create strong bonds and connections. Our in-person meetings offer a warm environment to swap stories, share insights, and build strong bonds, enriching our lives and elevating our craft.

Behind-the-Scenes Commitment:

It’s important to recognise that the foundation of our association rests on the dedication of our volunteer committee: Marta Pardo, Sabine Schuh, Brooks Cole, Josie Pont, Ian Gibbs, Stephen Karbaron, Francisco Mahfuz🎤 Ali Parandeh Zandpour . Comprising professionals from diverse fields of expertise, these individuals selflessly devote their time and expertise to ensure the smooth functioning of our organisation. As president, I am deeply grateful for their invaluable contributions.

Amidst our ongoing endeavours, I am thrilled to announce the imminent launch of our association’s new website, a culmination of tireless effort and dedication of a few committee members, led by Brooks Cole and Sabine Schuh. Our forthcoming website will provide attendees with comprehensive details and access to all the information they need to fully immerse themselves in the exceptional experience awaiting them at the Convention scheduled for November 9th, themed “Grow.”
